Where to buy crypto near you: a city-by-city map of the Philippines

Where you can buy crypto near you depends mostly on your city. In Metro Manila you can walk into one of about two dozen staffed cash counters. Everywhere else, the nearest “crypto shop” is usually a pawnshop or convenience store where you load GCash, Maya or Coins.ph with cash, then buy inside the app. Both routes are licensed and work the same day.

We built this page because “crypto near me” searches in the Philippines usually return an old map of Bitcoin ATMs that don’t exist and a list of exchanges that can’t legally serve you. The reality is more useful and more uneven. The country’s one network of staffed crypto counters is heavily concentrated around EDSA. The licensed exchanges all have their offices in a handful of Metro Manila business districts. Meanwhile the cash-in networks that make crypto work in the provinces, pawnshops, 7-Elevens and GCash outlets, reach almost every town. Below you’ll find how that plays out across Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao, our seven detailed city guides, and short, honest notes on a dozen cities we haven’t covered in depth yet.

Metro Manila, Visayas, Mindanao: three different crypto markets

Metro Manila is the only place in the Philippines where you have real choice. You can pay cash across a counter at Trinoma, Glorietta or Market! Market!, cash in at a pawnshop, use a bank transfer, or visit the district where your exchange keeps its office if you need to sort out a paper document. Every BSP-licensed crypto provider has its registered address somewhere in the capital region. If something goes wrong, the company is a train ride away.

The Visayas is a different story. Cebu is the region’s business hub and has a large IT-BPM workforce, yet the only staffed crypto counter we could find in the whole region is in Liloan, north of Cebu City. Iloilo, Bacolod and the tourist islands have none on record. People here buy crypto almost entirely through e-wallets and pawnshop cash-in, which works well for everyday amounts but gets awkward once you want to cash out more than a pawnshop’s per-transaction cap in one go.

Mindanao sits in between. Davao City has two listed counters, in Poblacion and in Talomo, which is more than any Visayan city. Cagayan de Oro and General Santos have none on record. As in the Visayas, the pawnshop networks carry most of the load; Palawan Pawnshop, founded in Puerto Princesa in 1985, and the Lhuillier chains are everywhere.

Where the crypto cash counters are

Moneybees Forex, a BSP-licensed virtual asset service provider, runs the only network of staffed crypto counters we could verify in the country. Its counters sit inside partner money changers, bills-payment centres and pawnshops. On its outlets page, which we checked on 28 September 2026, it lists 29 of them. Here is how they split:

• 21 inside Metro Manila: Quezon City 7, Makati 6, Taguig 3, Parañaque 3, Pasay 1 and Caloocan 1.
• 2 just east of it in Rizal: Tambunting Junction in Cainta (listed as “Ortigas”) and an e-money outlet in Antipolo.
• 6 everywhere else: Orani in Bataan, two in Bato, Camarines Sur, one in Liloan, Cebu, and two in Davao City.

That means 23 of 29 counters, almost four in five, serve Greater Manila, while the Visayas and Mindanao together have three. In April 2024 Moneybees also announced crypto trading at 97 Tambunting pawnshop branches nationwide. We couldn’t review that full branch list, so ask at your local Tambunting branch before you make a trip. Daily limits at every counter depend on your ID level: ₱200,000 with one government ID, ₱1 million with proof of address and ₱5 million with proof of income. Moneybees advertises “no fees”, which means its margin is in the rate.

Why the provinces don’t need crypto ATMs

A city without a crypto counter isn’t cut off from crypto, because the cash leg doesn’t have to be crypto-specific. GCash lists more than 413,000 partner outlets nationwide, and Maya says it has more than 90,000 channels for funding a wallet. 7-Eleven had 4,491 stores at the end of 2025, according to a report on its results. Cebuana Lhuillier says it has more than 3,500 branches, M Lhuillier more than 2,500, and Palawan Pawnshop opened its 3,000th branch back in 2019. Any of them can move your pesos into a licensed app within minutes.

The cheapest of these routes for larger amounts is a pawnshop cash-in to Coins.ph: ₱25 flat per transaction at Cebuana, M Lhuillier, Villarica, Palawan or Pera Hub, from ₱100 up to ₱50,000 (₱20,000 at Palawan and Pera Hub). E-wallets give you ₱8,000 of free over-the-counter cash-in a month, then charge about 2%. The trade-off is the spread: GCash and Maya build their margin into the price and don’t publish it, while Coins.ph’s Spot screen shows you the real order book. Where the licensed exchanges have their offices

People often ask whether they can visit their exchange. The addresses below come from the BSP’s list of virtual asset service providers dated 15 July 2026. None of them is advertised as a walk-in cash desk, so treat them as head offices, useful for legal correspondence or scheduled appointments, not for buying crypto over the counter.

• BGC, Taguig: Coins.ph at the Asian Century Center; Moneybees’ head office at McKinley Hill.
• Ortigas, Pasig: PDAX at Robinsons Cyberscape Gamma; UnionBank at UnionBank Plaza.
• Mandaluyong: Maya at the Launchpad building on Reliance Street.
• Makati: DOPAY’s operator, WIBS PHP, at Tower 6789 on Ayala Avenue.
• Bridgetowne, Quezon City: GoTyme Bank at the work.able Giga Tower.
• Intramuros, Manila: TopJuan Technologies, operator of TopWallet, on Aduana Street.

Outside Metro Manila we found no licensed crypto office or OTC desk at all, including in Cebu. Our city guides

Each guide below goes district by district: which counters are open and when, which pawnshops handle cash-in and cash-out, which exchange offices are nearby, and what local scams to watch for. They are written separately, because the right route in Binondo is not the right route in BGC.

Other cities: what’s available right now

We only publish a full city guide when there is enough verifiable local detail to make it worth your time. For the cities below, here is what we could confirm. Where we say “no counter on record”, we mean the Moneybees list, the BSP list, press coverage and archived directory data turned up nothing, not that we walked every street.

Around Metro Manila

Parañaque has three listed counters: Tambunting branches in Sun Valley (Marimar) and San Isidro (Sucat), and a Tivoli Money Exchange counter in the VIP area of Okada Manila in Entertainment City, the only crypto counter in the country listed as open 24 hours. Access there may depend on the resort’s rules.

Pasay has one: Erus Maerd Pawnshop and Money Exchange on the ground floor of Newport Mall at Newport World Resorts, open daily until 21:00, handy if you’ve just landed at NAIA. Pasay is also where a trader made a citizen’s arrest after a July 2026 USDT meetup scam, a reminder to use counters rather than strangers.

Mandaluyong is home to Maya’s head office, but we found no crypto counter there. The Tambunting branch at Guadalupe Commercial Complex is on the Makati side of EDSA and is the closest option.

Caloocan has one listed counter, an ACM GoVIP business centre at Malansing Market on A. Mabini Street in Sangandaan, which also opens on weekends. The rest of the city relies on pawnshop and e-wallet cash-in.

Antipolo has an ACM GoVIP e-money outlet in Barangay San Jose that is open daily from 7:00 to 22:00, some of the longest counter hours on the list. Tambunting Junction in neighbouring Cainta is another option, and GoTyme users may find one of its kiosks at Robinsons Antipolo, according to search summaries of GoTyme’s kiosk page.

Elsewhere in Luzon

Angeles City and Clark, Pampanga: no crypto counter on record, despite a large expat community, the freeport’s offices and an international airport. Residents with a local ID use pawnshop and e-wallet cash-in; visitors usually rely on a card-based global account.

Baguio: no counter on record. The national pawnshop chains and e-wallet outlets cover cash-in; the nearest staffed crypto counters are back in Metro Manila.

Batangas: no counter on record. A “Bitcoin ATM Batangas” page on a global crypto site exists, but it would not load and we found no operator behind it. Directory listings put Tambunting tellers in Santa Rosa, Laguna, but those are not on the Moneybees page; Parañaque’s counters are the nearest confirmed ones.

Visayas and Mindanao

Iloilo City and Bacolod: no counter on record in either. Both are home to many OFW families; if money from abroad arrives as USDT, a licensed app plus pawnshop pickup is the practical cash-out route. Cagayan de Oro: no counter on record; a global site’s “Bitcoin ATM” page for nearby Naawan could not be loaded or verified. General Santos: no counter on record. In all four cities, Cebuana, M Lhuillier and Palawan branches handle Coins.ph cash-in and cash-out, with per-transaction payout caps of ₱29,000, ₱49,000 and ₱14,000 respectively. How to choose your route, wherever you are

Start with the amount. Under about ₱10,000, use the app you already have: GCash, Maya or Coins.ph, loaded at the nearest store, with minimums as low as ₱1 on Maya and ₱60 on Coins.ph. From ₱10,000 to ₱50,000, the ₱25 pawnshop cash-in to Coins.ph is usually the cheapest, because you then trade on a real order book. Above that, a bank transfer by InstaPay or PESONet, a Moneybees counter if you’re in Greater Manila, or an OTC desk for ₱1 million and up. Then check the platform. Whatever city you’re in, the licensing rules are the same: only BSP-listed firms may swap pesos for crypto, and the offshore exchanges flagged by the SEC or blocked by the NTC, Binance, OKX, Bybit and others, are not a safe place to keep money you’ll need to cash out. For card buyers, CEX.IO is a global option with Visa and Mastercard support and 300+ coins; it is registered with FinCEN in the US and the Bank of Spain but is not BSP-licensed and has no peso rails.
