Bitcoin ATM Quezon City: seven counters and the apps that never close

There is no working Bitcoin ATM in Quezon City that anyone can verify, but QC has something more useful: seven staffed crypto cash counters on the Moneybees outlet list, the most of any Philippine city. You can hand over pesos at Trinoma, Eastwood or Cubao and receive crypto in your wallet the same day, or buy around the clock in GCash or Maya.

That matters in a city this big. Quezon City counted about 3.08 million residents in the 2024 census, making it the most populous city in the Philippines, and it is also the largest in Metro Manila by land area, according to figures from the PSA summarised on Wikipedia. The people buying crypto here are a mix you won’t find anywhere else: students on Katipunan and in Diliman, BPO agents working through the night in Eastwood, small traders in Cubao and families in the northern districts who have never set foot in a bank. Each of them needs a different route, and this guide tries to match the route to the person.

Is there a Bitcoin ATM in Quezon City?

Not in the sense most people mean. When Coin ATM Radar still let us in, its archived May 2020 page for Quezon City showed a single listing: “Psulit Money Changer”, with a 1% buy and 1% sell reading. That was a teller counter, where a person behind a desk takes your cash, not a vending machine. Coin ATM Radar has also shown a teller at ACM Scout Bayoran, which does not appear on the operator’s own list, so we treat it as unconfirmed. The site itself blocked us in September 2026, so we couldn’t check its current map.

The few crypto machines ever documented in the Philippines were in Makati and Ortigas, and none has been confirmed working in recent years. New machines are unlikely, because anyone swapping pesos for crypto needs a licence from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, and the BSP stopped issuing new ones in September 2022. Crypto cash counters in Quezon City, by area

These are the seven QC outlets on the Moneybees outlets page, which we checked on 28 September 2026. Moneybees is a BSP-licensed virtual asset service provider; the outlets are partner money changers, payment centres and pawnshops that sell and buy crypto on its behalf.

A few things jump out once you read the table as a buyer. Only the two mall counters, Trinoma and Eastwood, are open every day in comfortable surroundings with mall security; Trinoma is right by MRT-3 North Avenue station. Jara’s Payment Center in Tatalon keeps the longest hours of any QC counter and even opens on holidays, which makes it the one to remember if you finish work late. The three Tambunting pawnshops are weekday-only, so they suit people who can slip out during office hours. And don’t be misled by the Lemon Square address: “1199 EDSA, Katipunan” refers to the barangay on EDSA, not Katipunan Avenue by Ateneo and UP, so check the map before you head there from campus.

Moneybees also announced in April 2024 that crypto buying and selling would be available across 97 Tambunting branches nationwide. We could not review the full list, so other Tambunting branches in QC may offer it too. Ask at the counter, and if the staff don’t know what you mean, go to one of the seven above.

Bridgetowne and GoTyme: a bank VASP on the QC side

The only BSP-licensed crypto provider with its registered address in Quezon City is GoTyme Bank, on the 21st floor of the work.able Giga Tower at Bridgetowne, E. Rodriguez Jr. Avenue, Ugong Norte. It is one of just two banks on the BSP’s VASP list, alongside UnionBank. The tower is a head office, not a crypto cash desk, so don’t turn up with an envelope of pesos.

What GoTyme offers is Go Crypto inside its app: 12 coins, including BTC, ETH, SOL and XRP, priced in US dollars, with your pesos converted automatically. The big limitation is that it is a closed loop. You can buy, hold and sell, but you cannot send coins to another wallet or exchange. Search summaries of GoTyme’s help pages say you can deposit cash over the counter at Robinsons Retail stores, free twice a month and 0.5% after that; we could not open those pages directly, so check the current terms in the app. If you already bank with GoTyme and just want some Bitcoin exposure, it’s simple. Katipunan, Diliman and the student crowd

Between UP Diliman, Ateneo and the colleges scattered around the city, QC has one of the biggest student populations in the country, and plenty of students are curious about crypto. A staffed counter is the wrong tool for them: Moneybees limits start at ₱200,000 a day and the process is built for people moving serious cash. None of the seven listed counters is on Katipunan Avenue itself anyway.

The better start is an app with a tiny minimum. Maya lets you buy from ₱1, Coins.ph from ₱60 for Bitcoin and the main stablecoins, and GCash’s GCrypto from 1 USDT. You need a valid government ID to verify, such as a PhilSys National ID, passport or driver’s licence. Load ₱300 at the store near your dorm, make a first purchase, then sell a small part of it to see what the spread really costs. One warning that comes up again and again on campus: someone offers you money to “borrow” your verified account or to receive GCash transfers and pass them on as crypto. That is money muling, and since the Anti-Financial Account Scamming Act of 2024 it is a crime, even if you didn’t know where the money came from. Night shift in Eastwood: crypto routes that never close

Eastwood City, one of Metro Manila’s older IT parks, and the office towers along EDSA employ thousands of people who work while the rest of the city sleeps. For them, a counter that closes at 18:00 is useless. The good news is that almost every step of buying crypto now works around the clock.

InstaPay runs 24/7, so you can send pesos from your payroll bank to Coins.ph at 3 a.m., free from Coins.ph’s side and up to ₱50,000 per transfer, and buy on the Spot screen right away. GCash and Maya let you buy inside the app at any hour, and you can load them with cash at convenience stores that stay open overnight. GCash gives you free over-the-counter cash-in up to ₱8,000 a month, then about 2%, and some partner outlets add their own fee. Maya works the same way with its ₱8,000 free threshold, and lists 7-Eleven, Ministop, Lawson and other stores on its cash-in page. If you’re paid in USDT by a foreign client, you can receive it on a licensed app and convert it to pesos in seconds, day or night.

If you do want a face-to-face counter after a night shift, Jara’s Payment Center in Tatalon opens at 8:30 every day. The only 24-hour crypto counter on the Moneybees list is at Okada Manila in Parañaque, in the VIP area, which is a long way from Eastwood.

Counter or app: which one should you use?

Both are legal and licensed if you stick to Moneybees outlets and BSP-listed apps. The choice comes down to how much cash you’re holding, how soon you need the coins and whether you have a bank or e-wallet account at all.

For anything under about ₱50,000, an app usually wins on time and cost: a pawnshop cash-in to Coins.ph costs a flat ₱25, and the USDT/PHP order book there has traded with a spread of about a centavo. How a counter purchase works, step by step

1. Set up a wallet first

   Moneybees sends crypto straight to a wallet you choose. Use a verified account on a licensed app, or a self-custody wallet you control, and copy the receiving address for the right coin and network.

2. Pick a counter and check its hours

   Trinoma and Eastwood are open daily; the Tambunting branches only on weekdays. Call ahead if you’re planning a large amount, since cash on hand can vary.

3. Bring your ID and fill in the KYC form

   Level 1 needs one government ID and allows ₱200,000 a day. Add proof of address for ₱1 million, and proof of income for ₱5 million.

4. Compare the quoted rate, then pay

   Check the live price on a licensed app on your phone. If the gap looks too wide, you can walk away before handing over cash.

5. Confirm the coins have arrived

   Wait until the transfer shows in your wallet, and keep the receipt and transaction ID before you leave the counter.

Selling crypto for cash in QC

The same counters work in reverse: you send crypto to the Moneybees wallet and collect pesos on the spot or by bank transfer. If you’re not near one, sell on Coins.ph and pick up cash at a partner pawnshop or remittance centre; the fee is ₱105 up to ₱10,000 and 1.6% above, and per-transaction caps range from ₱14,000 at Palawan Pawnshop to ₱350,000 at Villarica. Skip the Facebook and Telegram groups offering “USDT to cash, meet up in Cubao”.
